What You Know

I know, I know I didn't post yesterday and I was supposed to, I was too busy surviving my week of death with midterms, formal reports and projects due on top of the normal assignments, oh yay. I had such a good time. So last night instead of studying I spent like 3 hours finding new music, and now here's a sample of what has been keeping me awake after not sleeping all week.
I posted the original of this song when Guetta's latest album came out, so I find it fitting to post up a remix by one of the Mafia, whose album I finally got around to getting. And wouldn't you know it, I like it. So yeah, here's Alesso working some magic.

It also snowed here in the last week like a foot. Which is sooooooo damn exciting! It means that ski season starts pretty damn soon. And here's a nice other-side-of-the-coin song, with the undeniable flow of XV. This guy has some insane lines, and the upbeat and happiness of this song, is just what is needed for this Friday Night.

F.Y.I.F. Vol. 7

Alright, so today for my short and rushed post, we've got two songs. Both remixes of Holidays by Miami Horror, and both very different songs. A dubstep banger and a hiphop remix that flows over the beats very smoothly. Hopefully, you guys enjoy them and have a smashing Friday!

Miami Horror is a 1 or 4 part indie-electropop(I know,long) band or producer that hails from Melbourne. I know, a bit confusing, allow me to explain. The monkier can refer to the 4 part live stage band that has swept across Austrilia and is about to move to America, or it can refer to their producer, Benjamin Plant. I'd say it's a tad bit excessive, maybe they should split that up, but irrelevant, they make good music! XV is the vocalist and remixer of the second first track. Yeah, we've got alot of artists to get through! He's a 25 year old lyricist from Kansas who made it big last summer when he was signed to WB records. He got noticed by pumping out content, they signed him after his explosion of popularity on his 12th mixtape. Yeah, 12. Anyways, he graduated with IB from high school so I gotta give him some respect for that. Sposhrock is finally someone that we've talked about before. He's an electronic producer from Toronto, which is awesome. Anyways, yeah, it's a pretty big cast.

The first song, I've gotta speed this up by the way,is a redux of the song and it turns out very well. Changing the meaning with some catchy and racey lyrics, it's fun to listen to and some of the lyrics make me laugh. Of course, it doesn't have any higher meaning really, but who cares. The second is a honest dubstep remix of a good song. SposhRock adds dubstep to his ever increasing bag of genre's in which he excels and does so very well. It's alot more laid back then the first song, but at the same time, how laid back can a song be when it's drop could break windows.

So as I rush off, sorry about that, I hope you guys enjoy the songs, and have a good two days, you'll get more music to feed your addiction(and mine) then! I'm out.
