Stars Come Out

So I've been busy with Exams, so here's some new music because I love you guys. It's a nice mix between Tinie Tempah and Big Sean, I never imagined hearing them on the same track but here it is, and it works quite well. Some clever lines, with a decent hook and a beat you vibe to. What else could you want from these two young rhymers?

Next I've got a mash up, which I can't take credit for finding, a buddy of mine sent it to me and told me to enjoy. And damn, Californian producer Ipaneema delivers. Mixing the Madeon remix of Raise Your Weapon with Cinema, the smash hit by Benassi, worked deliciously well. It makes me wish that more people made music like this. So blast it loud, cause I think it might be all that gets me through my first exam week.

So now I'm off to study for a bit before my exam, well shit. I'm out guys, have a good one.

Needed Change

So it's been a while since I posted some hip-hop, let's dive into it cause I have to leave for work so here we go! A nice mix of rhymes and beats, with some dubstep for flavoring!

Chiddy Bang is a duo that met at College that are some talented musicans. Xapoon Jones does the beats and mixing, as well as the production while Chiddy handles the flowing vocals. The self proclaimed Kings of the Basement Party they have a unique style of melding some deadly verses with everything from indie rock to French electro, they've turned some pretty big heads, getting signed to EMI and getting a debut album, coming out sometime in 2011, as well as opening for British superstar Tinie Tempah. As a final nice touch, Chiddy broke the world record for longest freestyle, going hard for over 9 hours. Respect.

Big Sean is featured on this track, and we've talked about him before so you should check him out. His album is coming out in like 8 days, Finally Famous, will for sure make a pretty big splash with the blog and underground scenes, if not getting some mainstream air-wave play. Captured By Kings, real name Connor Walden, is an 18 year old producer from the sunny state of California, and he provides the dupstep portion of this track, and does a pretty good job. I would have preferred a bit harder of a bass, but he does a good job of keeping the song's soul in tact while still giving it his own twist and flavor.

So there you have it, genres I've been neglecting lately, and I'll try not to anymore. Have a good Monday morning, I'm out!

Spin

Look at that, I even stay true to my word, giving you guys a post about fantastic music even when I'm hitting the slopes. Dedication to music, well not really just had to serve my desire to share music with someone, and you people are the ones that get to! So listen up, I got a song to let invade your mind.

Big Sean is a young rapper that is lived most of his life in Detroit, a city known for some pretty damn good musicians, Eminem from the rap world and Kid Rock from...whatever genre he is. It's a city that has played an integral part of North American pop culture. A gang center, along with some of the biggest clubs and playing home to some of the most known movies, it has it's history. Big Sean writes and ode to his city, aptly titled Hometown. The people one grows up with really do play a vital part in their growth and ultimately, how they are. It seems that Big Sean feels that he owes his city what he has achieved in his 22 years on Earth. He's released three mix tapes, all titled Finally Famous Vol 1-3:Something Clever Here, he's also got a studio album coming out on May 3rd, also titled Finally Famous.

He's worked with some pretty big names, including fellow city mate Mike Posner on the album version of Cooler Then Me as well as a few songs with Wiz Khalifa and Kayne West. Yeah, he's got some credit, and he's been spitting freestyle on the radio for years, and that is where he earned his respect from alot of people. This song however, is not a freestyle, and he kills it. The backing vocals provide a nice change from his hard hitting word play and the beat is simple enough that it doesn't distract from the lyrical masterpiece he creates. A deep bass and some respectful voice alterations make for a song sound both in production and lyrical merit.

So there's my opinion, make your own, love it, hate it, he's got the respect of some big names, and a big number of people back in D-Town. Check out some of his other stuff, I'm out!
