Somebody Told Me

So the Canucks lost last night, and there are riots in the streets, well there were last night, and it was super sketchy down there. Cars got exploded, drugs were spread around and fights broke out. So with that over shadowing everything I decided to go with a nice up beat dance and party song.

Ryan Conway is one of the three contributing artists on this track, and they all hail from the Toronto area, so big props for that. Love to see Canada pumping out some great tunes, even if it does have a Dutch feel. So Conway and Andy's iLL provide the fantastic bassline that would fill nearly any dance floor, in a packed club or the carpet in your room. Add into that the smoothly drug infused lyrics of Will Steep known as The Girls Can Hear Us!

Now these three along with Zeds Dead represent something really good coming out of Canada. Thanks to the internet, and yes blogs in particular ♥, have allowed people to hear the talent that Canada has, so big ups to you guys from "doin' something big, shout it out, shut it down". Keep it classy now Vancouver.

F.Y.I.F.! Vol. 6

Gunna be a short post, just a warning. I've got class in a few minutes so I'm typing this up to get it up early, just because I love you guys so much. Also because it acts as a good way to not be doing homework which I should be doing! In any rate, you get some good music with some Canadian influence.

You guys have heard from The Girls Can Hear Us! before, they're a dance rap group from near Toronto, Ontario. As it happens,they now only consist of Will Steep, not the electronic producer Ed Huzzar. However, in this song, they are a team of both. And this is probably the better combination in my humble opinion. Anyways, Mr. Steep provides some sexual lyrics and over some very nice beats.

SposhRock is another Canadian, also hailing from somewhere in Ontario, not sure where, but it does mean that being from the same province, they've probably known each other for some time, as there aren't too many towns where bigger shows happen. Toronto and Ottawa jump to mind. The Dirty Tee's are yet another Canadian duo, also from Ontario, this time from London. Now they are LA based, but their roots make me proud. They are mainly electro producers so this song is a bit different, however the influence unmistakable.

So there you have it, a Canadian dance rap masterpiece. Well, maybe not that far, but for sure good enough to pump through the speakers tonight!

Fuck Yes, it's Friday! Perhaps I'll start doing upbeat songs every time I post on Friday, I suppose that would be fitting. Anyways, this one comes to your from The Girls Can Hear Us the Canadian dance-rap band from T.O. With a (sometimes) upbeat soundtrack provided by Edmond Huszar,the duo's musical master and sexually intended lyrics from Will Steep, the duo has started turning heads.

Most of their music is available right here for free on their SoundCloud. Speaking of which, I now have a SoundCloud so you can send me music via Dropbox if you're not up for the whole e-mail thing. Anyways, so their music is up on iTunes and Amazon and all the other places that sell music, well not all but you know what I mean (links on their site). They've started touring, although mostly in Toronto,and in bars I can't attend, but none the less. With music videos coming out and songs in the making one can assume that this is not the last time you'll be seeing their stuff here.

Like stated, it is Friday so blast some loud music and drink enough to start making mistakes. Dance like a fool because if you dance or not, we're all still fools! Enjoy your weekend guys and I shall continue this none-respondent conversation in a few days, I'm out.
