Tell Her Hi!

With New Years Eve, the biggest party of the year, just around the corner I figured that posting a mashup would be in good taste. Probably helps that DJ Rudy dropped a complete floor mover a few days ago. I guess now it's almost been two weeks, holidays and all. Anyways, this song makes me wish that my life was a dance floor. Listen loud!
Dream Mode (Katy Perry x Coldplay x Rihanna) by MrDJRudy

Here's another song to keep your feet moving. This one is from NY based musictian Outasight. He sells an upbeat, late nights laughing lifestyle of New York, and damn I'm buying it. It's something about hearing someone say "Let's Go", and you know that where ever you're headed it's going to be a damn good time. Keep on dancing.
Outasight - Let's Go by iamoutasight

I might not post on New Years day, or at least not in my morning. We'll see how I feel. I hope you guys have a great New Years, you know what they say, bad choices make good stories. I'm out!

Color Blind

So now I hope to get back to regular posting after the holiday season has ended. I'm back to school in about a weeks time so time to try and get back to some semblance of normality. Of course New Years has not happened yet, so there's always the chance of that going sideways. Right, music. Sex Ray Vision is that couple of kids that make some great music, from Stanford if I remember correctly. They dropped this about two weeks ago, it's a remix of a Snow Patrol song, which is usually not bad. Check it out.
Open Your Eyes (Sex Ray Vision Remix) by sexrayvision

I really love Christmas, it kinda snuck up on me this year because I was overloaded with Exams I forgot about how soon it was. Needless to say, it was awesomely amazing mainly because it was with family and all that other cliche shit, that actually applies to me at this time of year. Oh, and I'm a year older as of a few days ago, so I guess that's exciting. I dunno, Birthdays always seem a bit...pointless to me. I've now wandered a bit off topic, and before I go any farther, here's a some more music. Inner Worlds is a guy from New York City that makes music, in this case a truly captivating remix of a Yelle song. It appears to be an entry for a contest, so do that if you like it. I'd characterize this as Glitch Pop if I absolutely had to,however to classify it accurately would probably require several paragraphs of words. And it's rather late. Enjoy these glitchy goodness, listen loud.
Yelle .:. S'eteint Le Soleil (INNER WORLDS Remix) by INNER WORLDS
I'll post again on the 30th, maybe even earlier. Have a good couple of days, if you're lucky like me and don't have to work right now, relax and enjoy it. I'm out!

Spiraling Upwards

So I am in a bit of a rush, so quick post. Here's Lana Del Rey, she's blown up all over the blogosphere in the last couple of months, and for good reason. Her voice is haunting, and she can create some great melodies. However, the melodies in this case, are taken care of by British born Gemini, and he kills it.
Born to Die (Gemini Remix)-Lana Del Rey

And just for good measure, he's a Ratatat song, because he makes some seriously amazing music. Respect his talent. He's been around for a while, and still isn't a huge name, he really should be.
Seventeen Years-Ratatat
Sorry again about the rushed post, I hope you guys are having a winter break, you should mostly be on it now. I'm out!

12.20.2011

Touch The Ground

So I'm headed home today! For like two weeks thanks to semester break and me finally being done exams! Woo! Anyways, besides that exciting news, I'll try to post every two days, but because it's both my birthday and Christmas, we'll see. I might miss a few days, forgive me? ♥ Here's Y LUV's new single. It's super awesome indie-electronic music that I found, and then fell in love with. So give them a listen, there pretty sweet.

I know, this is some pretty experimental music I have to say, but it's super great. For some odd reason it costs $1 to buy the song, but $0 to buy the album... So do that! Anyways, Giraffage is Charlie Yin, a guy based out of San Fran. Beyond that, I haven't really found out much more. Except of course that he makes some fantastic music. So listen and enjoy!

Just so you know, my OCD self had to find two artists that played from the same source before I allowed myself to post this. Oh boy. Anyways, enjoy the music, tell all your friends about them, and have a good few days! I'm out.

12.18.2011

Data Conversion

First, a huge song that's been in my head for too long. We've discussed how much I love British accents, especially in singing, and The Wombats do a great job writing songs too. Lenno is this guy that makes some pretty smashing music from Finland. Check him out, please. He's awesome.
1996(Lenno Remix)-The Wombats

Next up, we've got Mitch-Mash who makes some of my favorite mashups, so check him out too. This time, he drops in some rhymes over Coyote Kisses already sick song Acid Wolfpack. His songs still make me wish there was flashing lights around me all the time. Listen loud!
Acid Rappack-Mitch Mash
Short post, I know. I'm forgoing studying, which I should be doing, to go skiing so that's why I'm a bit rushed, anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the music, keep it real. I'm out!

12.16.2011

Breathe Deep

So here we are again, and I've just discovered that I don't actually have any food in my room and because I go home in a few days, there's no point in actually doing anything about that lack of food. So I get to starve, or actually I just have to go to the caff, but not eat breakfast for the next few days, because I don't want to spend $5 on a bowl of cereal. Right then, music. Haven't had a mashup in a bit, so here's Orlando based producer TeeTs. He really wants people to like his Facebook page, so do that here if you like his music. This is just a sample, I had a hard time picking, and he's only got 6 songs up!
Dirty Sexy Strobes-TeeTs

Here's Jay Fresh, Texas based rapper that has some serious skill. He just dropped an EP that was producer by Electronic music Wizard Pretty Lights, and both of their talents are on display. He's up and coming, hopefully with this kind of flow his career just keeps snow balling into something huge. This right here, was my favorite song off The Delta Project, his EP with Pretty Lights. So check it out, show him some love, all the tracks are free.
On & Off-Jay Fresh

I'm loving that artists are releasing free music to get their name out, they get the publicity, and we get to feel not bad about downloading it...legally of course. Enjoy the music guys, play it loud. I'm out!

12.14.2011

Turn It Down

Late post, yes yes I'm aware, but that's okay because I actually knew what I wanted to post today. Well kind of. Anyways, I've got an exam at 6PM tonight (I know right, lame) that I have to get back to studying for, so let's get to this music thing. These two Finish guys that go by the name Timo Juuti & Hector 87 did an absolutely amazing remix of M83's already great song Midnight City. Turns out I'm a bit late to the party train, I had never heard of them before, but check out their music because it's sweet. Buy it if you've got some money to donate to their cause, that is the cause of making great music! Anyways, listen loud.
Midnight City(Timo Juuti & Hector 87 Remix)-M83

Secondly, in a totally different direction, we've got Carousel, an indie-electro (ish) group based out of...San Fran I think. They make some fucking great music to start, even better, they give it away! Yay! Their EP is right here and their singles, including The Thrill, are right here. So please, check them out, and give them lots of love. Then they'll keep making music as cheerful and fresh as this!
The Thrill-Carousel

So I'm actually pretty happy right now, because at the end of this day, I'll be 3/5th's of the way through my exams, and it's all down hill from there, right? Yeah sorta, anyways I'm out!

Oh, as a bonus, check out this Pop-Rock band's cover of a Taylor Swift song, it's really cool, and I don't even like this song that was a mega-smash-millionsofdollars hit. Go Home Freshmen is pretty damn cool, their name is fitting considering I'm actually going home in a week(ish) and I am a Freshmen. Right, I need to stop writing this and start studying, but yeah, download their stuff. Here's a link to their two covers that I have in my head right now.

12.12.2011

Stars Come Out

So I've been busy with Exams, so here's some new music because I love you guys. It's a nice mix between Tinie Tempah and Big Sean, I never imagined hearing them on the same track but here it is, and it works quite well. Some clever lines, with a decent hook and a beat you vibe to. What else could you want from these two young rhymers?
Lucky Cunt-Tinie Tempah & Big Sean

Next I've got a mash up, which I can't take credit for finding, a buddy of mine sent it to me and told me to enjoy. And damn, Californian producer Ipaneema delivers. Mixing the Madeon remix of Raise Your Weapon with Cinema, the smash hit by Benassi, worked deliciously well. It makes me wish that more people made music like this. So blast it loud, cause I think it might be all that gets me through my first exam week.
Rock Your Weapon At The Cinema-Ipaneema

So now I'm off to study for a bit before my exam, well shit. I'm out guys, have a good one.

12.09.2011

Far From Home

So here's me, sleep deprived, and having to write an exam in too few hours. Here we go with music because I'm going to pass out after this and hope like hell I do well after studying my eyes out. To start we've got a nice upbeat remix of a song that makes me want to dance in the first place by Houston based producer Glasnost. He does a good job with some poppy beats and nice claps. Which is fitting. I suppose there's tons of things a girl should do with two hands...
Hands (Glasnost Remix)-The Ting Tings

So who knew, AudioDax doesn't only make big dubstep drops but also things that sound like this. I'm not sure what to call it, indie electronic even? Whatever, it's absolutely delectable. The scratchy sounds that they have mixed in give it a very... visceral feeling. I don't even know anymore,I just think that you guys should check them out, support them, they totally do sound like my next favorite band.
It Goes Cold-AudioDax

So I'm going to go pass out now, I'm out!

12.07.2011

Occupy Library

Late post, I know. I stayed up late studying, or early actually, so now I'm sleep schedual is all messed up, and I actually should be studying now but here's my break. Here's Swedish duo Old Amica that great some fantastic indie music, even a bit of electronic at time, not this time though. This is just good, clean indie music that makes your heart a bit warmer in the middle of winter.
New Start by Old Amica

So Avicii played a live set recently and leaked this song, turns out people are already remixing it. Including two recently blogged about students Sex Ray Vision. Of course, this song is more fitting as everyone hunkers down to slam through exams. I hope that this can help you out in not wanting to rip your eyes out as much it did for me.
Fuck School(Sex Ray Vision Remix)-Avicii

Now that I've spent like half an hour not study, I get to spend another two hours actually studying,so I'm out!

12.05.2011

Home Stretch

So I'm done classes for the Semester officially today, and thus is why I didn't get up until 11 and didn't get around to posting this until now, because I started studying for exams last night until much too early in the morning... But it is okay, because now I have more time to sit here, study my eyes out,and find new music. So here we go,some Nujabes. We've talked about him before, and how much I wish he wasn't dead, his talent was unmatched. Pretty much anything being put out today can no match this Japan native's flow.
Waiting For The Clouds-Nujabes & Substantial

Next we've got GIDDY, Ontario based house producer that burst out a little while ago with the kind of uplifting melody I usually hear from Avicii. It's so similar I actually thought it was him, working with someone else, but no. And damn, I'm glad, without the terrifiyingly slamming bass that has invaded most of electronic music, we've got some nice, crisp house music. He's working with another Canadian producer in Martin Giuffre who I really can't find much about. However, his tracks also hearken to classic House, so check him out too.
Triumph-Giddy & Martin Giuffre

Listen loud everyone, I'm out!

12.03.2011

Bring Them Home

So I'm sitting here waiting for my ride up to the mountain, so I figured I should probably post today. I've seen like 30 people do the walk of shame in the last 10 minutes that I've been awake so I figure some of you could use some music to uh...soothe your dignity. So here's french artist Kick Snare Leave that got some huge respect lately from the song you should be listening to. His indie electro flow is great, really making me wish I knew more about him. So here it is, enjoy.
GunsGat2BeGuns-Kick Snare Leave

And now that I'm rushed, because I may have gotten distracted, here's some Myndset to make you happy, a nice deadmau5 remix, if you're in England go check out the lights show he's putting on, it looks insane.
Aural Psyanpse(Myndset Remix)-deadmau5

I'm off to ski, have a good couple of days. I'm out!

12.01.2011

Happy December!

It's fucking December! Get stoked! I love this time of year, less school, more snow, skiing and Christmas! It's just so exciting all the time! So I am, pretty amped. Anyways, in music news, if you've been on Hypem you'll have noticed that OVERWERK dropped his EP yesterday. So I figure I should probably give a review of it, as he was part of TGCHU! and I've shown them quite a bit of love. He's a Toronto based producer who's single Buzzin' burst him into the music scene a little while ago. His EP, titled The Nth º, is continuous mix, which I think is almost always a good idea, especially because it's not awkward when played not in consecutive order. It's very upbeat, with a definite Electro influence, hearing an album today that doesn't have a dubstep track is a nice change. Here's a song from it, so listen loud, and check out the whole thing, it's worth your time.
Paradigm-OVERKWERK & Nick Nikon

So I try really hard to have a very diverse posting of music, but when Rusko and Mike Posner come around and pump out a great song it's hard to ignore the fact that it's there. So two electronic songs it is, I'm a big fan of Mike Posner's voice, he's done some pretty big things as far as convincing me that guys should stay away from singing unless they're playing a guitar, and this is totally different from what I've heard. Shut Up is less sweet vocals and more rhymes, which actually works alright for me. Rusko provides a delicious beat and Posner makes sure to deliver in the vocals department.
Shut Up-Mike Posner & Rusko

11.29.2011

Rushing Rhinos

I missed a day, sorry, last week of semester before exams time so it's been a bit hectic. Here's a nice RAC Remix to fill your ears. I like the idea of driving when there's too much going on, it is very relaxing, if only I had a car that is... Anyways, listen loud!
Worse It Gets(RAC Remix)-Penguin Prison

On the flip side, here's a Skrillex song that blew up a few weeks ago due to a very talented remix by Blende from London. Check him out, he gives away some free music and it's all cool and that stuff, so yeah check him out!
Drop Dead(Blende Remix)-Skrillex

I'm out, sorry for short post today, I'll make it up some how!

11.26.2011

Asian Obsession

Happy Weekend everyone! Depressingly, I'm not skiing right now, but that's because it wasn't worth the trip. So that makes me feel a bit better, but still sad. So to drown my sorrows here's an upbeat remix by the up and coming Standford based duo, Sex Ray Vision. They give out a ton of free music, and that they're genre when you download their music "Awesome", so that just proves it.
Paradise(Sex Ray Vision Remix)-Coldplay
Also, ever notice how remix-able Coldplay is? I didn't until just now.

And here we have a remix of a KPop song, because I'm that obsessed with Girl's Generation, their cuteness is just so powerful. And because Robotaki does an amazing job of making an already upbeat song even more dance worthy with poppy beats and delicious melodies. So he also gives out free music, totally check it out. Even better, he's Canadian!
The Boys(Robotaki Remix)-Girl's Generation

So there you have it, hope your weekend goes well everyone, I'm out!

11.24.2011

No Light

Happy Thursday everyone, let's get right into it. A nice upbeat remix of an Avicii song, you shoulda known I'd post it up. I'm still super sad that I can't go see him on boxing day, but that's just the way that it goes, so here's something make you wish it was Friday already.
Enough is Enough(Project 46 Bootleg)-Avicii

You have to know how much I hate posting something by Drake, I really don't like him. But Star Slinger does such an amazing job on this remix I just HAVE to post it. So here it is, making me feel dirty.
Over My Dead Body(Star Slinger Remix)-Drake

Now I need to go resign myself to music hell for posting something by Drake... So have a good day, I'm out!

11.22.2011

Done To Death

Oh man, I'm even getting this post up on time! I feel so accomplished. Anyways, here's some delicious indie goodness from a band that is actually from Vancouver. That's pretty sick because there's a very few bands that I've actually heard of and liked from my hometown, but here's some love, their EP is up for free here, so get it. Give them some money if you can, they totally deserve it.
Gold-Wake! Owl

In a completely opposite direction, something by LightsoverLA,or AT DAWN WE RAGE, either one, I'm really not sure. As far as I can figure from my sleep addled mind, they are the same person, simply different projects. Now, I've got a remix by LightsoverLA somewhere on here, and it's still one of my favorites, super synthy and...I'm not sure, just enjoyable. So when I saw something about them, I got super excited, and I'm not disappointed.
Human(LightsoverLA Remix)-Ellie Goulding
It really isn't fair, someone could completely ruin the music and Ellie Goulding's voice would still make it a good song to me. Not that this is the case. In other news, if LightsoverLA ends up reading this, I really do prefer this stuff to AT DAWN WE RAGE,but there's just my opinion, both are good, just different.

So there we go, now to go attend class, I'm so excited. I'm out!

11.20.2011

New Start

So short post again, just about got my life under control so I can start being more regular again. So for now, Ii'm going to eat lunch and post some music because that's just how it's gunna work out. Lilly Allen with a honestly vulgar song about...well I'm sure you can figure it out. Oblivion does a pretty good job making some big womps, and drops that will break your teeth. I didn't find it too over the top like I find quite a bit of dubstep lately, but be the judge.
Not Fair (Oblivion Remix)-Lilly Allen

The second song here today is something with only one artist I recognize but damn, this one sure makes me wish it wasn't Sunday afternoon. Blast it loud.
Alive(Basto Remix)-Adrian Lux & The Good Natured

Have a good couple days guys, I'm out!

11.18.2011

What You Know

I know, I know I didn't post yesterday and I was supposed to, I was too busy surviving my week of death with midterms, formal reports and projects due on top of the normal assignments, oh yay. I had such a good time. So last night instead of studying I spent like 3 hours finding new music, and now here's a sample of what has been keeping me awake after not sleeping all week.
I posted the original of this song when Guetta's latest album came out, so I find it fitting to post up a remix by one of the Mafia, whose album I finally got around to getting. And wouldn't you know it, I like it. So yeah, here's Alesso working some magic.
Titanium(Alesso Remix)-David Guetta & Sia

It also snowed here in the last week like a foot. Which is sooooooo damn exciting! It means that ski season starts pretty damn soon. And here's a nice other-side-of-the-coin song, with the undeniable flow of XV. This guy has some insane lines, and the upbeat and happiness of this song, is just what is needed for this Friday Night.
Awesome(Remix)-XV & Pusha T

So blast it loud, and have a damn good weekend. I'm out!

11.15.2011

In Control?

So this week is pretty much just awful for me, lab reports due, midterms and projects assigned left, right and center. But that's okay, because I stumbled upon two very talented artists in the last couple of days, which is good because that means that I'm having time to look for music! So I know I've been focusing on electronic music lately, but it's been what's getting me through the day, keeping me focused. So as it's snowing right now, I feel like I should switch it up for a post. So here's Yuna, an incredibly talented Malaysian singer(in English, don't worry), with some chilling vocals.
Someone Out Of Town-Yuna

On the flip side of my I've been abusing electronica coin, is actually electronica...kinda. It's classified as "drumstep" according to Shanghai producer ConRank. But it's a very relaxing devastatingly melodic remix that the rule I set for myself of no electronic music needs to be broken.
Set Fire To The Third Bar(ConRank Remix)-Snow Patrol & Martha Wainwright

Have a good couple of days, after this nice chill post. Enjoy!

11.13.2011

Lost Woods

I actually leave for University again in like an hour so this is going to be a rush post, is there any other kind for me? Here's a Hoodie Allen song that I haven't been able to get out of my head for a couple of days.
Push You Away-Hoodie Allen

So while Musicmatician's inexperience does show through with a few of the transitions, and a little bit of the music is drowns out the words, this song showcases some fucking amazing talent. I'm not saying I could do better, even some people that have been making mashups for a long time aren't this good, and the use of Special Feature's remix is genius. So here he is, Musicmatician.
Not Romantic-Musicmatician

So have a good one guys, I get to go drive on a snowy highway. I'm out!

11.11.2011

Out of Town

Alright nice and quick because well, it's my weekend, and as much as I wish I actually got a weekend, it's turned into a oh shit homework time. Thanks professor, this is totally how I wanted to spend reading break, actually reading...
Daft Punk is of course pretty much a staple in my music playlist, I just never post anything on aT by them because, well there's nothing new and new music is good! Not that old music is... and now I'm rambling, so here you go, a dandy little remix of a classic,by some fellow Frenchmen.
Something About Us(Cherokee Remix)-Daft Punk

On the other side, here's some British pop music, because I still love Neon Hitch. As proved by a most a few days ago, and now again with her! So just enjoy it you guys, don't judge me too harshly!
Poisoned With Love-Neon Hitch

So I hope you guys enjoy this short post, it was a much needed break from smashing my face into homework for the last few hours, and it's only 1030AM! Have a good weekend everyone, and if you're from Canadaland like me, it's Remembrance day, so Remember. Be thankful for the things we have because of what other's have sacrificed.

11.09.2011

Midnight Life

So MW3 dropped yesterday, and half of my campus has not left their rooms yet I'm pretty sure. Sadly for me, I don't have it, because well I just don't. But for those of you that aren't acting like mushrooms I've got some good music (I think it's pretty good anyway) to fill your ears and get you through the rest of week. I have reading break so today is my last day of classes, Woo! So here we've got Dave Edwards, an insanely talented producer from New York that had some how escaped me finding him. He dropped his debut EP last month and you guys should really download it. Or at least check it out here. Here's a track off of it, just as sneak peak.
Never See Tomorrow-Dave Edwards & Silver Medallion

And second we've got the heavy sampling, British hip-hop duo known as Rizzle Kicks. The burst on the scene last year, and just released an album which you guys should really check out, they're hella talented.
Down With The Trumpets-Rizzle Kicks
Lol well I may have messed up the url a bit, fixed now.

So I'm off to not be here, so I may or may not post on Friday. I think I will because I can do the write up and chose which song I want to post for you guys on the bus ride home and just do the linking once I get home.... Yeah that's a good plan. So check back on Friday, I'll have some more music up for you guys, have a good week. I'm out!

11.07.2011

Fight For Days

So I'm going to skip the prelude, just start listening to this song, Neon Hitch's voice is making it hard for me concentrate on anything except this damn song.
Ass Back Home-Gym Class Heroes & Neon Hitch
I'm pretty much addicted to this song, it's been replay for the last day and I'm still not sick of it. The Gym Class Heroes used to be one of those indie-hiphop bands that no one had heard of, but now they've actually put out some pretty popular stuff and it makes me happy. The hook in this song is so damn addictive though.

And this this corner, we have Manila based producer Manila Killa (omg what a clever name!) who so kindly released some free music. So take a listen, and check them out, if you like this one. I'm a big fan of Mike Posner, his voice is something that doesn't really happen that often, so I try to enjoy it.
Please Don't Go(Manila Killa Remix)-Mike Posner
This post is up a bit later, and they will be starting now because I am writing them after my first class instead of before now. Except on the days when I start later...yeah it's just confusing. If you have twitter, I update that when I post and try to give shoutouts to the people I'm posting about. Unless they're big and famous and wouldn't care. But yeah, I have to start studying for a midterm I have tomorrow, so I'm out!

11.05.2011

We All Go

So I sadly haven't had much time to find new music in the last few days so this could be an interesting post. But here we are, with a remix of a Calvin Harris song, a delicious melody mixed with some not-too-over-the-top dubstep-iness. The angelic vocals over top mixed with the lulls and the piano backing makes this song pretty damn awesome in my opinion.
Flashback(Millions Like Us Remix)-Calvin Harris

And in complete opposite, the beautiful voiced (and looking) French-Canadian Coeur De Pirate. She covers a The Weeknd song which is good to start with so this combonation was a good thing from the very start.
Wicked Games(The Weeknd Cover)-Coeur De Pirate

So enjoy these two songs on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Have a good one, I'm out!

11.03.2011

Every Other Way

So my mouse died yesterday, it served me so well... I'm really sad I had to pick up another one last night to fill in for it while I decide if I want to spend some actual money on one because I'm much to big of a nerd to just buy one and go with it at this point. Any suggestions? The one I picked up has a pinky rest and it's driving me crazy so I know I don't want one of those, it makes typing feel really weird because I have to hold my mouse super cramped up. Anyways, after that aside of showing just how super cool I am... Music!!

Super ambient/whatever you want to call it for the first two songs today. We've talked about Germany Germany and how much I love him, seriously he's fantastic. His indie-electronic vibe is just great for so many reasons. So here' something by him. And to compliment that something by someone who has music quite similar, Baths.
Dance-Germany Germany
Aminals-Baths
ps,not a typo in the name

So this song was good to start with, two of the biggest names in production, not only of House and various other forms of electronic music but both have worked on some huge pop hits which is impressive simply because you have to be pretty damn good to be hired by a AAA record label. Anyways, I don't understand how but Avicii played 3 shows in Halloween and none of them were on my side of the country. He is apparently going to Vancouver for Boxing day which if that's the case there is a high possibility I'll be going to that. I hope anyways. Anyways, check out Special Features, he's going off like crazy.
Sunshine(Special Features Bootleg)-Avicii & Guetta

Hope this will help you get to the end of the week, the promise of a nearby ski hill opening on November 24th and not early December made my week, but music always helps. I'm out guys ♥

11.01.2011

Music Cures Headaches

So here we go again, more music, hopefully to help cure your Halloween hangovers. So we'll start out slow with a cover a decently old song, one that I remember from my younger years but covered by City High, and they do a glorious job of re-working it to make it about 5x better then the pallet they had to work off. So here's a nice slow jam to get you going this morning.
What Would You Do?(City High Cover)-Bastille

Next up there's something in the completely opposite direction, more like something you would have heard while you were dancing like a fool and trying to drink till you pass out. Another mash by Mashup-Germany which is pretty cool, hope you guys enjoy rocking out to it.
Leveled Without You-Mashup Germany

So enjoy these songs guys, and hope that when you wake up tomorrow there isn't as much of a pounding right behind your eyes,I'm out!

10.30.2011

Happy Halloween!

Okay so new music to make your Sunday just a little bit better. Some Adventure Club because they're dubstep mixes are pretty damn good and some Kaskade because his new album is just amazing. Pick it up if you haven't already. The duality idea of Fire & Ice is pretty cool, I prefer quite a bit of ICE better which is odd for me but oh well. So here's two of the best in American Electronica coming together to make something pretty damn good.
Lick It(Original Mix)-Kaskade & Skrillex

And in this corner we have the remix mastery of Adventure Club coming together with the mysterious duo that is Flight Facilities. Even if we don't know where they're from or what their names are, they still make some damn good music. Adventure Club just adds a bit of bass and some nice tempo changes to it. Enjoy.
Crave you(Adventure Club Remix)-Flight Facilities

I hope you guys have a good couple of days, I'm trying to get back on schedule, but Halloween is kinda messing with that. I hope your nights and days have been as candy and substance induced as they're supposed to be. I'm out!

Stayin' Alive

It's been four days, I know. Midterms constantly are not fun times so I guess I just have to keep at it. And I will keep this updated as much as possible, but I'm no super human, not even an above average human, so don't expect the normal. But DO sub my twitter if you actually wanna know when I post my ramblings, I always update that when I post.

So yeah, here's a nice house track that has been running around through my ears all week. It's got a nice build up and the house drops make me so happy it's crazy. The vocals are a nice touch too, sets it apart from just a thumping bassline that I've discovered most people think constitutes all electronic music.
Walking Alone-Dirty South & Those Usual Suspects

And in the other corner, some hard hitting dubstep from that favorite Canadian Duo!

Don't Listen

So considering the ammount of work I must have done by the end of the day today, forgive my short post but that's just how it's going to be.
Tyler,The Creator is the lead man of Odd Future, and he's blown up all over the place. For being so young he's got some very nice vocals and better rhymes, it's unreal. He's the creative talent behind the group too, doing most of the mixing, beat making and artistic promotion for the strange collective. And he's what? 20. Jesus I feel useless, but just listen to his flow, it's insane.
Let's Dance-Tyler,The Creator

Next we've got Black Light Dinner Party, I just love their indie jams. I hope you do too. I just hope that they keep making more music, they're talent is undeniable.

Happy Birthday!

So it's been one full year since I started writing this blog, holy shit. That's quite sometime. It's changed and morphed into something I was not expecting, but I still love to write about the music that gets me through my week. So in honor of that, I've got a bunch of music that you guys should listen to, download, love, or hate. Regardless of the outcome, I think that you should at least check it out. Some of this stuff I heard over a year ago, and some of it i just heard 20 minutes ago so it's a nice mix. I hope that come next year, I'll be sitting writing awkwardly about music still, and not knowing when to stop. Keep it real guys, I'm out!

Late Night Ink

I'm sorry, midterms again this week, don't know why, not like it's the middle of the term but nooo... Okay anyways, my point is that I'm writing this at 12 at night because I just realized I didn't write today, and it'd been two days. So instead of waiting and putting it off YET another day,I'm going to post right here, right now. About like nothing because I'm falling asleep. Also, Saturday is this Blogs One year Anniversary, which I just realized like...now, so don't expect anything huge, maybe a couple extra songs, and I might try out these "dynamic views" that blogger has been harping on me with comment boxes all over the damn place, so yeah. Music.
Drift-Funkagenda & Adam K

I know I just posted about this guy, but you do NOT wanna know how many times I've listened to this song since I first heard it, which was like 4 or 5 days ago. I'm averaging like 3 or 4 plays a day. Oh boy.
Throw Some D's On That Blink-D.VELOPED

Dance Or Die!

So this will be quick, enjoy some good music, mash-ups even, again. Oh my I'm going on a Mash-up binge again, sorry. Hope you guys like them, hear'em play.
Guetta's Calling Solvieg Up-Kap Slap

My Dangerously Melodic Anthem by D.VELOPED
Damn this guy is good. He somehow takes WAY too many tracks and fits them in. A lovely mix if you ask me.

I'm out guys, I hope you enjoy the music.

10.15.2011

Transatlantic

Okay back on top my regular(ish) posting schedule, and with that you get some new songs, because I love you that much! Or because I have this compulsive desire to share music, one of the two. So with that, here's a pretty remix by Swedish talent Alesso of an already pretty damn good song. I've been having an on-going discussion about if build-up is good in songs, this definitively has it, but I think it adds to the experience. Lemme know what you think.
Pressure(Alesso Remix)-Alex Kenji,Starkillers & Nadia Ali

Second we have a nice and new Indie sound from Futurecop! I love their album artwork which is very cute, and the fact that they have an ! in their name makes me happy for reason I don't understand. But anyways, they just put out a new EP, if you like this song, go and check it out! It's pretty good.
Is It a Crime?-Futurecop!
So there you have it, two totally different songs, enjoy them, I'm gunna go be productive with the rest of my day. Hah. I'm out!

10.13.2011

Take Your Time

I told you I'd be back! With something different today too, so get get ready to hate it or love it. Which is really all you can do with...well I'm not sure what to call either of these artists but both are incredible. Blue Sky Black Death are two guys that hail from underground hip-hop roots and are now making some really nice experimental music, I'm not sure how else to classify it. The chilling vocals over top some of the most unique beats I've heard in a long time.
Call To Arms-Blue Sky Black Death

None Like Joshua is another MC that I would classify as underground or indie hip-hop. He's got some smooth vocals and some very nice classically influenced melodies. It's another love it or hate it kind of song, so I'd be happy to hear you opinion.
Lights (Rap Remix by None Like Joshua) FREE DOWNLOAD!!! by nonelikejoshua
So there you have it, this post is full of experimental songs! Hope you guys enjoy them, I'm out.

10.12.2011

Turtles and Bears

I'm not dead! I swear! I just came back after Thanksgiving break and realized I had put off too much homework been doing all that. Sorry guys=( Okay so here, new music to tide you over,I'll probably post again tomorrow and then get back to a regular schedual. So here's Baths, they're really cool and you should check them out, okay? His aimbient/glitchy sound is just amazing. It's like if ediT and Sabrepulse met. I know, if you don't know who those people are don't worry, they're not big names. Well, ediT kinda is... Just enjoy the song and I'll stop rambling ♥
Aminals-Baths

In another totally unrelated genre, one of my hip-hop favorites, Gorilla Warfare Tactics. They dropped their mixtape this summer, and it was good. Now they're putting out some new content, I really hope they keep going with this flow, it's unreal. Some depressing rhymes mixed with clever word play and upbeat tracks. So with that verbal praise, check out this song, I'm bad at describing music. And it's a choice thing, so yeah... rock it loud.
Dark Saber Jedi-Gorilla Warfare Tactics

Like I said, I'll probably post again tomorrow, so watch out for that! If you have a Twitter follow me, it's over on the right, and I always tweet links to my posts, regardless of my poor posting times! I'm out guys.

10.09.2011

Unfounded Expectations

Here we go, posting time! More music for you, more weekend for me! I know I promised more of an article today, but yeah that's not going to happen. I am writing this at home because it's Canadian Thanksgiving so I have some family functions I have to go attend and all that. I'm not complaining thought, home cooked food and free laundry, damn I feel so College. This song by Daughter is pretty amazing, her voice is just chilling beyond belief and the lyrics, well sorry for another depressing song. I'll try to stop that, but it makes me feel so thoughtful after I hear this song, and yes that's a good thing.
Landfill-Daughter

So yeah, Martin Sovieg, enough said. He makes some great songs, with nice pretty backing vocals and weird music videos. French Open? Like really? Oh well, his drum tracks are nice and they make me feel good. You should too. Be big in another country, it's better I hear.
Big In Japan-Martin Solvieg

So if you're from Canada, enjoy your Thanksgiving, if you're not, enjoy the music and have a good weekend, I'll be back Monday! I'm out.

10.07.2011

Sleepless Mornings

Okay so here we go, nice and fast today. First off is a chilling song from the movie Sucker Punch. Yeah, weird movie but I actually really liked it, and this song is just fantastic. The soft vocals mixed with the ambient music, well it's one of the best songs I've heard off a movie, and a damn good song in it's own right.
Where Is My Mind?-Yoav & Emily Browning
PS this song starts real quiet, so either turn up your volume, suggested, and or download it.

In a nice contrast, which actually wasn't planned, we have a very happy song. Whomever did the vocals for this track are like the ideal person you want doing songs that are supposed to make you feel good inside for no reason. Honestly, they're just so overflowing with joy! Message ain't bad either, so enjoy it!
I'm In Love(Vocal Mix)-Alex Gaudino

I know, rushed I'm sorry, I'll try to make it up to you guys with a few most songs on Saturday, have a good couple of days. I'm out!

10.05.2011

Memories Worth Repressing

I know, I'm a day late, terribly sorry but give me a break, I do have to go to school. I know, bad excuse,it's actually because I woke up 10 minutes before class and didn't have time to write up a post during any of my classes yesterday so you get it tonight, while I'm falling asleep. Oh goody! So what kind of music did you have to wait a day for? While, a mash up by Mitch-Mash, whom actually graced me with a comment last time I talked about him! Oh that made me happy, so keep doing what you do mate, this song takes me away to flashing lights and crowded dance floors.
Ying-Yang Love-Mitch Mash
PS it's from a mixtape called Swagged out Vol.2

So with a song that moves your feet, how about I share with you an Indie favorite of mine. I have a soft spot for indie music as my fantastic ability to over think every situation goes very will with the melancholy music and (sometimes) downright depressing lyrics. I hope you like this song as much as I do.
A Thousand Years-Brandtson

So there you have it, two songs that could barely be farther away from each other, go figure. Sorry for the awkward posting time, I told you I'd try, I didn't promise ♥
Have a good couple of days, I'm out guys!

PS the picture is pretty clever, as much I dislike tumblr, check out the link in the bottom right, they're pretty funny.

10.02.2011

Speed of Sound

Hello October! You kinda crept up on me, I didn't even realize that September was nearly done until I looked at the date today, like whoa. Month just flew by, but that's just a random interlude, the more important thing I have to say is that you should check out Hoodie Allen, he's been blowing up the blog scene for a while, got named as one of the best up and comers a while ago, along with G-Eazy,whom I've also had a recent obsession with. So take this song, and listen to it, a few times.
Oh and he's got a free mixtape, a few I think actually, check him out here.
Flipping Out-Hoodie Allen

So I've actually been posting quite a bit of chill music lately, I've been into just putting it on while I'm trying to learn stuff, and it's been helping. Due to the fact this blog is just an outlet of my obsessive desire to share the music I love, it's a bit all over the place. Hope that isn't a problem...

Anyways, the other song that I've had in my head of late is by French House/electro-pop producer Madeon, I've posted about him before so as always you can click his name below and get linked to all previous posts, which in this case is only one or two. Anyways, he's taken a Yelle song, that I didn't like too much in the first place, and made it about 30x better, and now I've played it like 10 times in two days, which is quite often. This kid has blown up, after his first exposure with his remix of Raise Your Weapon, he's been putting out big hits. This is no exception.
Que Veux-Tu(Madeon Remix)-Yelle
So now I have to go catch up on homework that I put off all weekend and then just relax, have a good couple of days, I'm out!

9.30.2011

Four Floors Apart

So with only one midterm remaining, that's later today and I've given up on studying because, well it's Psychology and that's by far my easiest class, I can take some time out to post some music to get rid of that end of week exhaustion, and replace it with great music. The first dubstep I've posted in quite a while, I think... And there is a reason for that, and it's that most dubstep now is just copy and pasted drops that are way too over the top for my liking. These guys though, damn. I'm loving the melody and the drops are nice, even has some buildup which is nice.
Acid Wolfpack-Coyote Kisses

Oh look, another genre I've kinda of been neglecting, mash ups! There was those two Kap Slap one's but that's really been it of late, which is too bad. But that comes with having less time to troll through the internet to find good ones. Sure, there are lots of mash ups, just not all of them are good, and I like this one, quite a bit.
Shooting Superstars(Eminem x Bagraiders)-The White Panda

9.27.2011

You're Not Alone

So I'm feeling very College sitting here, on my laptop, in the common room after a early morning run. I really haven't felt this sterotypical since I've been here. Anyways, I'll just keep going then. So because this week is midterm week and it really sucks, this post will be putting up some songs that make me want to dance, so I can feel a moment of respite from the feeling of smashing my face into books. This is only a rip off a live radio show, I can't find a better quality version so here it is.
Silhouettes(Vocal Mix Preview)-Avicii

So hopefully you're not as OCD as me, and the quality of that song almost ruins it for me. But it's Avicii so it's hard to hate. This song, while very good, also has one of the most depressing music videos I've seen in quite some time. So don't watch it if you're in a down mood, it ruined my day, although the fact it had meaning was actually kinda nice for a change.
Animle-Don Diable & Dragonette
So that's what you get from me today, have a good one guys. Good luck to everyone that has midterms, I think most of you have them next week, if you have them. I'm out!

9.25.2011

Timing is Everything

Alright, here we go again. I know it's a bit later that I'm getting this up, but c'mon, it's Sunday! But it's okay, I'm here to fix your need for new music, it'll all be okay! A bit of older dubstep from the monster producer we now know as Skrillex, this song is actually the first song that made me like Skrillex, and show any interest in Dubstep. Before I heard this, I had just heard some stuff that took bass and very poorly copy and pasted drops into normal songs.
Hey Sexy Lady(Skrillex Remix)-iSquare

Here we've got a young guy who's pretty talented, shooting up the BeatPort rankings when he first emerged and getting recognition from some of the biggest names in the world, and you should be able to hear why. He's got flow that it usually takes years to develop, and a very recognizable sound. As you can tell, I'm a pretty big fan.
Say My Name-Porter Robinson
So let me know how you like this posting style, it feels kinda weird but it makes sense. Have a good and relaxing Sunday, check back in a few days. I'm out!

9.23.2011

Follow the Eyes

Sorry guys but this post will be pretty short, I got up a bit too late today for a full talk, maybe that's a good thing. An old club hit remixed by Avicii, who by the way is still always in my head, should keep your feet moving all night, or your head bopping if you can't dance like me.
Rapture(Avcii New Generation Extended Mix)-Nadia Ali

Hide and Seek Paparazzi-Kap Slap
I know, we just had some Kap Slap, but I'm really liking this song. I like both of the original's, and Paparazzi is one of the most remix-able songs I've heard in a long time. Anyways, it's a good song to just vibe to which I'm really liking lately. So there we go, I decided on two songs to post and I might even get to class on time, have a good weekend guys, check back soon. I'm out!

9.21.2011

Halo And Wings

This lack of sleeping is making me go crazy, I don't understand it! I try to go to bed early and then I just don't... Anyways, music helps keep me stable so let's get into it. Chiddy Bang keeps expanding from remixes to full fledged songs, and I'm liking this slower side, it's really relaxing, and that's just a good thing when I'm trying to keep my eyes from staying open. I know, I just said otherwise but it makes sense.
Slow Down (Ft. Black Thought)-Chiddy Bang

Next we have the VERY talented young man, Madeon, who if you click on the tag below you will find did a deadly remix of deadmau5's Raise Your Weapon. Anyways, this is something totally different and equally enjoyable.
Smile Like You Mean It (Madeon Remix)-The Killers

So if you noticed, the songs are in a different place. Feed back? Have a good one guys, I'm out!

9.19.2011

Midnight Life

I know, it's not up on time, I'm sorry! And it's a day late, but I have a good reason for it, I'm just not sure what it is at the moment. Anyways, music is more important that timing so how about we just agree on that? First up is an older song from hip-hop's prime time by a group from NYC, Onyx. They've got good flow and they really make me wish that more people today could flow this good. Next up is an electro banger from Calvin Harris, he needs little introduction, so just put it on and vibe.

Slam Harder-Onyx
You Used To Hold Me-Calvin Harris

Ski season is soon, I'm so stoked. Have a good couple of days,I'm out!

9.16.2011

Feel Alive

The weekend is closing in and that means that it's just about time for some substance abuse, only the legal kind of course, enjoy responsibly and all that! Right so actually some pretty chill tunes today but I've really been digging G-Eazy lately, he's just got some great verses, and he's really good for studying for some reason so it's been filling my ears lately. On the other hand you get a song I heard off hearing Kaskade's Essential mix this week on BBC1, I think it might be off their website now but you should be able to find a stream or download of it some where. I'm loving the melodies the Swedes are pushing out lately, they're taking over electronic music, first the Mafia, then Avicii and now it's just expanding outwards.

The Outsider-G Eazy ft.Vivian Girls
Calling-Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso

Blast some tunes, find a song to dance to and have a good weekend, I'm out!

9.12.2011

I Know This Song!

Sorry this post is up later the usual, I'm still adjusting to the sleep schedual at University, which by the way is don't sleep, it's bad. Today you get to hear some mash ups that have been ringing around in my head for the last little while. I'm hesitant to call it Mash Up Monday because that suggests there will be more, but oh well, let's just get into it.

Foolish Monsters by whitepandamusic
Raging Levels (Avicii, Kanye , Britney, Others) by rdkdwd
So I really wish that Mochi Beats didn't find religion, or perhaps it's better to say I just wish that he didn't stop making music, at the very least that he didn't take down all of his other music so I don't have to scavenge the internet for it. Anyways, I know mashups aren't loved by a large majority of people(from my experience anyways) so if you don't like them, let me know why, I'm curious. I find them great for running because they're upbeat and dancing for obvious reason. Aside from the fact I can't dance, I have the terminal disease of being white. I hope your week's are great, I'm out!

I'd really hoped to share some more with you guys, sadly Mochi Beats' first album is impossible to find, if anyone has a copy I'd love to have it.

9.09.2011

Paper Towels!

So as my first week of University life draws to a close, it's definitively different, and one helluva good time. I've got class in about half an hour which means I've gotta leave in like 15 minutes so excuse my lack of preamble, to the music!

Waspy-G Eazy
Happy Violence-Dada Life
Sorry, another G-Eazy post but he's just got tracks running through my head all week. Decided to toss in a nice bassline track by Dada Life in the fact that it's Friday, have a good one guys, I'm out!

9.07.2011

Show Me

Yes, it's been a while. I told you, I was moving into my dorm, it's been crazy! So much fun but I just had my first class and I can't stop shaking for no apparent reason. But it's okay! Because I have music and that solves life's problems so let's get to it! Two pretty upbeat but...well neither are what I would call routine. Enjoy them, and I hope the starts of your school years(if you're that age) are going well. If you're older, then hope that your hump day is fantastic.

This picture pretty much sums up my goal for university, meet everyone.
