Save The World

Today we've got an interesting song, especially for this Easter Monday, I hope everyone is enjoying their big dinners and abundance of chocolate eggs. A dubstep banger to wake you guys up from your daze of laziness, and to penetrate your brain by way of ear drums. So, without further adieu, here is a massive blast from the past years of video gaming.

So I hope everyone reading this played Ocarina of Time for the N64 because if not, you really missed out on a very enjoyable game. But, that's a minor issue now, what's more important is that if you haven't, this song will not inspire as much nostalgia as it did for me. Anyways, Ephixa is a Canadian electronic music producer from Toronto. Seems ever musician from Canada comes from either Toronto or Montreal, but again, irrelevant. He started out producing Hardstyle, a very aggressive genre that I discovered a few years ago, and fell in love with for a time. Well lust is probably a better term, it's fun for a romp but doesn't have any complexity to it. Anyways, after that, he made the pretty easy connection to dubstep. Another hard hitting genre that lives in the bass. Anyways, he's starting to get some deserved recognition.

This song is pretty much the most nostalgia I've ever felt, and it certainly was nice to hear recently as I head into university, it's good to remember years before. The samples of the flute in this song are good contrast the the absolute hammer of dubstep. The Navi samples are nice, even though in game that voice was the MOST annoying thing ever. The change in pace is good, something lost on many producers, pedal to the metal all the time is fine, but the change in pace makes the drops that much more impressive.

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed your holidays and this song is not a bad way to end them I hope. I'm out!
